The issue
After upgrading to TrueNAS SCALE 25.10RC, I noticed these SMART errors showing up for 3 drives. I have 140 SSDs in this system, and these only just showed up:
I’m wondering if this is a new feature in 25.10, and I’m only now seeing these errors, but they potentially existed sometime before, but they weren’t tracked.
The smart value is 187: Reported_Uncorrect. For these drives, it’s set to 1 now. I don’t see any pool issues though nor any resilvering that may have taken place.
My questions
- Did the error happen before or after the upgrade?
- Is this a new feature of 25.10?
Drive info
All three are 4TB Crucial MX500 SSDs, and they’re pretty full. Also, you can’t run TRIM on these drives through the LSI 9305 controller, so I was also going to take them all out and run a TRIM on another system as I’m going to recreate the zpool tonight.
