Alerts in TrueNAS

Is there any way to setup Truenas to send me an email alert if the temperature on my cpu host gets too hot ???

You would have to look through the GUI, System, Alert Settings and see if it is somewhere in there. I did a quick check on 25.10.5 - Goldeye but I didn’t see it under the Hardware or System drop downs

Why and how would that ever happen?
Your CPU has a fan curve. That fan curve you can most often adjust. Even if 100% CPU fan speed is not sufficient enought to cool the CPU, it will just not boost up or even step down clock speeds.
So I don’t quiet understand what you would do with the information or email that your CPU reached TjMax ≈ 100°C?

Because the CPU cooler is undersized. Or the fan fails. Or ambient rises above expectations. I’m sure you can think of other examples.

The same thing you’d do with the information that your drives are too hot, presumably–improve cooling, shut down the system, etc.

Fan RPM at 0 I agree with.

I don’t think that is a fair comparison. HDDs can’t throttle.
