Allowing VMs to see Host results in TrueNAS unable to connect to the internet

Hi everyone,

I’m having trouble with my TrueNAS setup. After following the instructions to allow my VMs to access the TrueNAS host, I noticed that TrueNAS itself seems unable to connect to the internet. When I try to check for updates, I receive an error message stating “TrueNAS was unable to reach update servers.”

Interestingly, my VM can connect to the internet without any issues.

Has anyone experienced this problem before? Any advice on how to troubleshoot or resolve the connectivity issue with TrueNAS would be greatly appreciated.

Probably because you did not set either nameservers or the default route (your routers IP)

Edit: fixed stupid smartphone auto correct typos.
