Apps disappeared during updates/image deletions

Hi,

I have been updating my apps, when I got a notification my pool is at 85 % capacity. After looking around I found out that I have way too many docker images so I started deleting them (not forcing). After I came back to Apps screen my apps were gone. They still run, I just don’t see them in the TrueNAS UI. I tried to re-select the pool. I tried restart. Didn’t help.

Can someone please help me find out what is going on?

Thank you

Okay 3 things:

  1. The FIX: I found this in one old forum post but its a hack. Basically, while not seeing any of my apps, I created one of the apps I know I have. It was a custom app that was not running (not sure either has to be true). After the creation the app appeared in the apps UI. Only this one app. Then I deleted it. After refresh all my apps except this one app that I deleted were back.
  2. The maybe-cause: I basically ran out of space on the apps pool. This of itself might have been the cause. OR maybe it was me deleting images while app updates were running. I don’t know.
  3. The NEED: two things are needed:
    1. A way for TrueNAS to autodelete old images.
    2. A (shell) tool that would help troubleshoot this issue. When surfing online I saw this happening to people. The solutions were always hacky like the above. Or restart X times until they appear. Or just reinstall TrueNAS…. If there was a tool, or at least a good documentation that would say exactly how it works, maybe the troubleshooting and solving would be so much easier.

Of course it is likely this issue will end up as one of many that I found i-have-an-issue-I-solved-it-with-this-hack kind of issue…
