I used to run Lyrion from Truechart and had it working after truechart went away.
Now I have upgraded to 24.10 and now Lyrion is a community app.
I have installed it in the same share as my Music library resides but I cant make it work. Im not very skilled with Trunas.
Please advice me regarding settings in the app.
When you say it doesn’t work, can you be a little more clear.
- Does the App not start
If so do you get an error in the apps lifecycle log? - Does the library not show?
If it is 2 what did you set the LMS music storage setting to during app deployment? Did you select hostpath and then select the location of your library?
Well I eventually managed to get it running.

Hi, sorry to jump in on this one but I have the problem that the app seems to be working fine, but does not find my Music location which I believe I have set correctly under “additional storage” and looks fine in the server settings info (/mnt/Pool/Data/Music). But no music found when rescan !
Also no players shown and cannot see where to add them or ??
Any & all help appreciated, I’m a long time LMS user (original Slimserver) but a complete noobie with Truenas.
I am also unable to get add the music location.
Isnt there a tutorial somewhere? I am sure it’s a permission issue but I am not really familiar with Truenas so I cant figure this one out.
We do not have individual tutorials for each community app (though we’re happy to host community contributions – Contributing to Apps | TrueNAS Documentation Hub).
There is a lot of general apps information at TrueNAS Apps | TrueNAS Documentation Hub and Managing Apps | TrueNAS Documentation Hub that might help you familiarize yourself and work your way through the permissions issues. Otherwise, the community forum here is the best place to help you troubleshoot.
