CORE's documentation was removed

Apparently, the documentation for CORE has been gutted (I just noticed now).

Virtualization (Obsolete) | TrueNAS Documentation Hub

The 13.3 page still has info Virtual Machines (Obsolete) | TrueNAS Documentation Hub

So,
(works) TrueNAS CORE 13.3/UI Reference Guide/Jails, Plugins and Virtual Machines (Obsolete)/Virtual Machines (Obsolete)

(dead) TrueNAS CORE 13.3/CORE Tutorials/Virtualization (Obsolete)

We removed the CORE documentation from the master/latest branch because we’re not planning a new major version release. https://www.truenas.com/docs/core/13.3/ and https://www.truenas.com/docs/core/13.0/ are both still fully accessible on the website (and in their respective repo branches).

Edit: The CORE virtualization tutorials were separately updated to remove obsolete/unsupported instructions

Got it. Thanks.

Do you happen to remember the last version that had documentation built-in (what version last included the docs hosted locally)?

I assume by ‘supported’ you mean the Enterprise customers (because my only option for support, as “not an enterprise customer” are the forums–I imagine my support offer ended a long time ago if I had one)?

That would’ve been before my time at iX. Maybe back in the FreeNAS days?

If we’re being exact about it, we usually distinguish between Enterprise support (customers with support contracts) and Community support (here). Generally speaking, not supported can also mean something closer to not recommended or “swim at your own risk.” In this case it means we’re not providing documentation about how to configure CORE virtualization and if you were to submit a bug report about it, that would most likely be closed with a suggestion to migrate to 24.10.
