I have a hard drive connected to a USB 3.0 to SATA/IDE adapter to get CrystalDisk drive health information. I can access the drive via a drive letter in windows but the drive does not show up under the disk menu in CrystalDisk Info. How can I get it to read the disk?
Do you really expect people on the TrueNAS forum to know? I for one run Windows only virtualised if at all and have definitely never used something like Crystal Disk Info. Doesn’t this product have a community/forum/Discord/Reddit?
Though crystal has no relation to TrueNAS and isn’t a LInux program, this could be the result of the adapter you’re using reporting as a USB type device instead of the bare disk, so its not getting the SMART info.
