ElectricEel-24.10.2 Telemetry stopped

Hi,

Some context:
I have two instances of ElectricEel-24.10.2 and perform mutual replication. The bandwidth available among them is relatively small, and one replication will take some days to complete.

The problem:
The Scale instance that is replicating has stopped showing any telemetry. The replication work continues, as I can see the inbound network traffic on the destination instance. The GUI generally works; I can log in and see the applications, storage, data protection tabs, etc., but no data is shown in the reporting tab or most dashboard cards. Even the replication task progress is frozen! Netdata does not work either.

All applications are running without any problem.

It is a little bit annoying because I would presume that a reboot should restart everything again, but the replication task has been going on for a week now and I don’t want to stop it now.

Is there a way to check the telemetry service status and perhaps re-start it?

Nope!

After rebooting, all telemetry still gone.

  • Dashboard (CPU Usage, CPU Usage per core, CPU Recent usage, CPU Temperature code, NIC, Memory)
  • Everything in reporting
  • Netdata

Everything else working perfectly.
