Can I format 14TB drives to 12TB to work with the rest of my 12TB drives in True NAS?

If you are just adding the 14TB to a pool of 12TB disks (Mirror or Raid-Z(1,2,3) it will be treated as a 12TB. TrueNAS will take care of the size

Has the benifits of also allowing you to eventually replace the 12tb drives & then expanding pool to treat all drives as 14tb too!

oh, that is a bonus. The 14TB drives were on sale cheaper than the 12TB drives.

Sadly requires now 14tb to be the minimum size of any drive in the pool before you can expand for the extra space
