I have a mixed network currently. 1Gbps most devices. 10Gbps fiber link between NAS and Windows 10. Laser printer is 100Mbs attached to 1Gbps switch
I voted 1Gbps since that is majority of ports.
My pfSense box is 10Gbps-ready and i have a spare X550-T2 which i could squeeze into my TrueNAS server but since there is no ISP offering 10Gbps in our neighborhood at the moment, i don’t see the point of upgrading my switch and stuff.
