I installed a M.2 to 10G ethernet device on my Supermicro mobo.
I have SRV-IO enabled in BIOS.
I have a Fedora boot drive built to get the Intel Bootutil working (needs compiled driver).
It’s listed in TrueNAS in lspci
02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82599EB 10 Gigabit Unprogrammed (rev 01)
So far no luck convincing either TrueNAS 25.04.2.4 or Fedora to claim it or load the ixgbe module. The Fedora hwlist tool shows it as unclaimed. The Intel Bootutil tool can’t seem to do much with it. Given the shady Amazon source it could be a firmware issue I suppose. It does show version numbers for PXE and UEFI options. So it’s at least partially possible to interrogate the board. But I can’t seem to manipulate any firmware options or updates.
