Is it just me? - 24.10.1 installation from ISO problem

I tried to use the downloadable ISO for TNS 24.10.01 to perform a fresh install on what is now my TNS 24-10-1 server.

I finally downloaded the former TNS 24.04.2.5, and upgraded to.

Anyone else have this problem?

Not that I’ve heard… most problems are creating the USB drive not the actual ISO.

So, you downloaded 24.04 and upgraded to 24.10 sucessfully?

Yup.
The 24.10.1 ISO (and I downloaded and committed to USB twice), would fault during its self-check for some reason (and I’m using Ventroy USB with which I successfully installed lots of Linux/ Win installations and even ran Tails and Clonezilla from with full success.

Lets see if someone else can confirm on their system…
We would expect to get a large number of reports - there are well over 1,000 systems a day deploying it.

Did you install 24.04 the same way?

I have installed 24.10.01/24.10.02/24.10.1 way too many times in the last two months, but I have never had a problem with them. Rufus the ISO to a 64GB usb key and install.

Used rufus when I operated WinXX OS, then moved to ventroy, then moved way from Win systems altogether ,and have not looked back since (well… I did need it for my camera’s firmware updates, but they, wisely, moved to letting you download and mount it on a camera memory card, so it is OS independent).

Creating a bootable USB of TNS 24.10.1 using rufus worked fine for me.
Did it three times over the last couple weeks (and two different USB sticks)…

To each his own.
