My system is running on a supermicro X10DRH-iT with 2x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2650L v3. My system doesn’t support rebar, and I’d like to find a GPU that I can pass through to Jellyfin that can handle videos that are in AV1. Does anyone have any suggestions? I tried an RTX 5050 and that didn’t work due to driver issues and the age of my motherboard. Considering trying a Radeon RX 7600 next, but I’m open to suggestions.
Intel Arc is the obvious choice for AV1.
However the Sparcle A310 Eco has a very annoying fan that is hard to fix under Linux.
The Arc A310 Omniview seems to be better or even the Arc Pro A40.
The newer NVIDIA Quadros also support AV1 decode - but not encode. Quadro T400/600 or RTX A400/600.
Edit: Arc Battlemage and anything older than Nvidia Turing architecture is not supported by the current Truenas version (anymore).
