Midclt call vm.import_disk_image hanging at 98%

On ElectricEel-24.10.2.2, trying to use the API call to import a *.VMDK file into a ZVOL (after hearing Kris M. allude to it on a T3 show). After figuring out a process and syntax that worked, it seemed to be importing successfully, but now has hanged at 98%, with the ZVOL having over 6Gb imported. There seems to be some sort of up and down CPU use cycle as well (below) – which at this point has be going on for over 30 minutes.

Any idea of what’s going on, or best approach to either complete or abort/recover? There doesn’t seem to be any logs or progress detail or way to back out of the job.

Thanks for any advice.

Command used:

root@TrueNAS02[...ElastiFlow_Virtual_Appliance-vmdk.tar]# midclt call vm.import_disk_image '{"diskimg":"/mnt/TEST_POOL_18TB/_Storage/G_DRIVE/jeverett/--CLEANUP--/--RING-9--/_ova/ElastiFlow_Virtual_Appliance-vmdk.tar/ElastiFlow_Virtual_Appliance-disk1.vmdk","zvol":"TANK_NVME/_ZVOLS.BU/ElastiFlow_VA"}'

What I’m seeing:

Left it alone overnight, and it finally finished on its own – during the process, it showed 98% done after the first 5 minutes, then hung out with the last 2% for about 50 minutes.
