My system has two VDEVs of 6 drives each in RAIDZ2, one of the VDEVs has three PCI Optane SSDs added to it as a mirrored ZIL, and one as a L2ARC. These work fine, no issues (see System specs at the bottom of the post for the full hardware info.)
I recently installed three more PCIe Optane SSDs to my system (a total of six), to add a mirrored ZIL and L2ARC to the second VDEV of 6 drives in RAIDZ2.
However, only one new drive is showing up as available in the Storage tab. The other two drives are not available.
The other two drives are not showing as detected when I run LSPCI.
All of the drives are correctly detected and show accurate information (model#, capacity, etc…) in the system’s BIOS.
The first three PCIe SSDs all all on the same PCIe riser.
Two of the new PCIe SSDs are on a second PCIe riser, the one drive that’s detected is here, the other attached drive is not showing up.
One of the new PCIe SSDs is on a single slot riser, it is not showing up.
