I am trying to setup the NGINX Manager app. I have changed Truenas ports. I set the ports for NGINX to 80 and 443. I have a redirect on my router so LAN users don’t go out to the internet. They instead get redirected to a LAN IP address. I successfully deployed a proxy host without a SSL certificate. The app behind it and the NGINX proxy is working.

Now I am trying to use DuckDNS to get a certificate. I always get internal error with no meaningful error message. I made sure the IP address is updated on DuckDNS. I tried both with router ports closed and open/redirecting to the Truenas server. Any idea what is wrong?

Problem II (Solved)

I got a certificate and everything worked great for a few minutes. Then it stopped working. It would just hang. Sometime later, I see my router(pfsense) complaining about a rebind attack. My router has a rule to redirect any request to the url to the server running it. This has always worked in the past.

edit: It looks like it is some sort of bad cache data issue.

I figured out the problem. DuckDNS was just down yesturday. It was back up today.
