[Not Accepted] Add Samba Share Option to hide dot files like .ssh

When you use a Users Homefolder as a samba share, there will be dot files like .bashrc oder the .ssh Folders. Many Windows user have the option activated to show hidden files, so these files appear in the Home Folder. With this Share option

veto files = /.??*/

dot files/folders are not shown what is a feature my users really need. There is no need to show these files and it makes the home directory cluttered. This could be solved with a simple checkbox. As “additional parameters string” is no avail by the GUI anymore this option is needed.

Why not just set ‘show hidden files’ to no by Windows group policy?

You an add the additional parameter via CLI.

This hides files from every directory - some user need this option for files apart from the network share so this is not a viable option. They only don’t need to see linux config files in their homedirectory.

Agreed, did that for now but i would be really thrilled if i could do this over the gui
