Pool size with multiple vdevs

I have a pool consisting of 2 vdevs. I assume that if I replace all the disks in one of the vdevs with larger disks the pool size will increase, correct? Or do both vdevs need the same capacity drives in order for the pool size to increase?

Bonus question: If one of the vdevs is larger will TrueNAS favor that one more when writing data?

Correct.

To some extent. It’s complicated, but the simple answer is “yes”.

Easy enough. Thanks!

It should.

There are edge cases caused by previous releases of TrueNAS with bugs.

But they can be resolved.
