Is there a recent guide on how to install the Postgres standalone container on TrueNas Scale?

I manage Ceph clusters in different parts of the world, but I somehow can’t wrap my head around TrueNas permissions to deploy a Postgres environment. I don’t understand how programs become so convoluted. Is it tech debt over time, or the inability to look at your own software objectively? Maybe it has been this way, by design, since day one.

I’m not trying to be a dick, I’m genuinely curious – I have fresh eyes, I found the project earlier in the year.

Not sure what you are talking about, Postgres is trivial to deploy as an app, within an app (like Nextcloud) or within a VM. If you are trying to install Postgres directly on Truenas, that is a carbon based error, since this is a NAS designed specifically to not have you do that. Do you have someone else managing permissions on Ceph, because managing Ceph permissions is a hot mess compared to Truenas.
