I’m currently running Dragonfish-24.04.2.2 on a TrueNAS Mini 3x+, and I encountered a bug when trying to open “Previous Versions” (snapshots) from a domain computer with the right permissions. I can also replicate this issue with browsing to the NAS from a domain server.
To provide some context: This particular system is authenticating with Active Directory (Server 2022). Everything appears to be configured correctly, and we are not using any unusual or exotic setup in this environment.
The issue we’re facing is that when opening “Previous Versions,” we experience random behavior where the snapshots suddenly disappear from the GUI. Initially, the snapshots are visible, but as soon as we attempt to open them, we receive an error, and the snapshots disappear entirely from the interface.
The temporary “fix” has been to click Save in the Directory Services Settings. This action allows us to once again see all snapshots and access “Previous Versions” for a short time. However, the issue eventually reoccurs, and we have to repeat the same steps: Directory Services → Settings → Save.
