Question: Boot device replacement

Hi, I have two boot devices (mirrored). One device has failed.

Getting a new exact same device will probably be very hard. Can I use any device to replace the failed one, as long as size is the same? i.e. “SSD 64GB has failed, replace with SSD (another model) with same sixe, 64GB”?

Same or bigger will not make any difference, besides the extra space will be wasted
