Hello, i am wondering if its
a) technical possible to create a raid 1 between an NVME connected via an external TB4 and a “regular” installed NVME because i would like to be able to
b) remove the TB4 external drive to use it during vacations and so on to work and
c) reconnect after that to regenerate the degraded raid…
If the unsupported Thunderbolt connection happens to work, you should be able to a) and b). Regarding b), you may want to split the pool instead, or offline the internal drive so that the external drive remains a living pool on its own.
Regarding c) i don’t know if there’s a way to reconnect the drive as a recognised earlier state of the same pool, and resilver from that, rather than wiping the new drive and copying everuthing anew.
