New user, wanting to ensure my system is safe.

I’ve installed TrueNAS, set up a few shared data pools, added users and things seem OK.

My query:

I’m accessing the TrueNAS server through the web interface through one of my on-site machines, everything is connected through my switch with ethernet cables.

It’s a basic install, I’ve not done anything fancy. Am I correct in that the TrueNAS server and the data on it cannot be accessed from offsite (from the internet)? I’d add that I’ll never need off site access and will NOT be looking to allow this.

You are correct, unless you do something with your network to allow this.
