SATA Settings in motherboard BIOS

I searched for keywords, but couldn’t find any topics which refer to my question:
TrueNAS comes with its own RAID system. My motherboard (Gigabyte B550I Aorus PRo AX) offers its own RAID system, but only RAID 0, 1, and 10. Setting up my motherboard , I have selected SATA=RAID and, with four HDDs, the BIOS offered RAID 10 only.
Do I have to delete the SATA- and RAID-Settings in the BIOS before installing the TrueNAS OS?

Welcome! Check our our documentation hub for some info.

TrueNAS, and ZFS in general, expect direct access to the discs for proper functionality. Your onboard device should not be RAID mode.

Do NOT use the RAID offered by your motherboard.
Set SATA to AHCI.

Let ZFS handle the “raid”.

Thanks for quick replies. I was already thinking something like that
