Separate dataset for outlook archived pst files & photos or not?

Hello,

As per what I’ve read regarding snapshots, only the differences between the snapshots consume additional space. If I do not create an additional dataset for outlook archived pst files & photos, will they take any additional space in the newly created auto snapshots ? Am assuming the answer to be no since those folders won’t be changed for at least 4 to 6 months. So for the sake of convenience can I just keep one dataset for both dynamic and static folders ?

Please help. Thanks in advance:)

Yes.
A reason to create distinct datasets would be distinct snapshot/backup policies (longer retention for static, more frequent snapshots for dynamic, etc.)

Thank you

Different compression level and recordsize (for the types of files being saved) is also another reason to use different datasets.
