Problem/Justification
I’d like to remove my dependency on Active Directory for SSO in my homelab and go full EntraID-only, but Entra Domain Services would cost more per month than the total cost of my homelab. I noticed in the Samba 4.22 changelog that experimental support for Himmelblaud, an alternative to winbind that supports authentication with Entra ID and enrollment with Intune. When could we expect support for Himmelblaud to be added to TrueNAS?
Impact
This would be an optional alternative to the existing authentication mechanisms.

A user can log into the SMB share from an Entra ID joined device without additional authentication steps.
