Unable to Mount TrueNAS in Synology

pc showing as nobody usually means guest/null session, not ur real smb user. synology wont ride that, it wants a real login.

from the truenas shell:
-midclt call smb.status get_sessions
-midclt call user.query ‘[[“username”,“=”,“YOURSHAREUSER”]]’
-from another box: smbclient //TRUENAS_IP/SHARE -U YOURSHAREUSER

on synology remount and type the password by hand, dont reuse the saved one.

if smbclient works but dsm still fails its almost always the saved secret or wrong user on synology.

Yes, I see all that, but none of it obviously indicates success or failure.

Comparing Synology and PC attempts, though: whenever the Synology connects Became Account, Became Domain, and Became Sid are null. Everything else seems the same, including the account. Not sure where the nobody attempts came from.

info_level: Invalid choice: get_sessions

Returns a lot of things, not sure what I’m looking at.

What do you mean?

It’s working again.

I still haven’t changed anything.
