Using Truenas Scale on Raspberry Pi 5 with HAT adapter with four NVME

Hi All -

I have installed Truenas Scale ARM on my Raspberry Pi 5 which was before an OpenMediaVault server with the NVME x 4 Addon card,

I had an EXT4 file system on it before and decided that the OpenMediaVault SMB Server over the network was too buggy so wanted to use Truenas as I have other TrueNAS servers running on various other hardware

On this though, Truenas cannot see the 4 NVME drives for me to be able to create a new pool

Can anyone advise me please as I have been on this all day, just got the WEBUI running fine using an external USB NIC adapter but just need to get the NVME drives recognised

Any help would be great

Thanks

The adapter I am using is the :-1:

GeeekPi N16 Quad M.2 M-Key NVMe SSD HAT

Other than @geerlingguy, I don’t imagine a lot of folks would be able to even begin helping on this one. This’d be pretty far outside of supported/recommended hardware…

Yeah I have seen his video and followed along, just wanted to see if it is possible using this Quad M2 instead of me having to start again with OpenMediaVault as i so prefer TRUENAS as my NAS of choice (even on my Qnap Devices)

It’s kinda ironic that the price of Pi5 + adapter is close to the price of robust full-fledged chinese M.2 NASes.
