VM import/export - how?

I just watched the latest T3 and there’s a whole chapter about VM improvements where they talked about importing/exporting VMs.
I understood, that it should be possible to do just that in 25.10.2 but cannot find this in my TrueNAS installation or the docs.
Did I misundertand that part or miss something and if not: how does this work?

I just found the export disk to image button but is that what was meant? That’s just for disks, doesn’t allow import and would only export the disk, no vm config?

The import function is there when you create a new vm, see:

Ah thanks, so this really is only about disk images, not OVF/OVA and such.

I thought this would be available without the need to run the VM wizard so you can import and export ZVols used for iSCSI etc..

Yeah, OVF isn’t currently supported. As covered in the doc you linked, TrueNAS has an option on the Create VM form to import an image in QCOW2, QED, RAW, VDI, VHDX, or VMDK formats and the Edit VM screen has the export options.
