What are the advantages of using dockge in truenas instead of the default app install?

So I just using Truenas about a week ago and I have multiple apps including Immich, Navidrome, Pihole, Tailscale, and Nextcloud. And I have been hearing how good dockge or docker is compared to the default, since I was new I just made the apps using the default installation. But I do wanna know calling out the pros of docker or dockge, what are the advantages of using it compared to the default app install?

Dockge/portainer/etc gives you a UI with almost(?) full docker support. Well, at least with full support of docker compose.

Truenas apps are just “preconfigured” docker containers. And supported features may change from release to release. Also, you don’t necessarily need a docker management UI solution – this approach would give you comparable flexibility.

P.s. I for one use portainer, but not on truenas.
