I am planning to use a TrueNAS as backup for an other brand NAS that supports rsync. So I want to sync with the other NAS as source and TrueNAS as destination where deletes from the source should also propagate. The wording of the WebGUI confuses me and I don’t want to lose any data.
There is a section “Source” that can only be a local folder and “Remote” where I can select the remote RSYNC module. I can select “Pull” at direction that essentially changes the “Source” to a destination, albeit local as far as I understand.
Is this indeed the case? By selecting Pull the Remote module becomes the source the TrueNAS becomes the destination?
