Who is Pristine? And why does she have snapshots on my boot-pool datasets?

I saw something interesting. My SCALE boot-pool has a “pristine” snapshot. Hmm, seems like they wanted to preserve the existing update before any changes.

PS - The baiting title was not real, just a bit of humor to describe something I was not expecting…

Yeah, well, my Core boot-pool has an automatic snapshot named “perfection”.
