WHS 2011 to TrueNAS

I currently have a Windows Home Server 2011 that I wish to convert to a TrueNAS box. I have 6 HDD with a total of 24TB space with 20TB in use.

What do I need to do to keep using the drives with the data as is, or do I need to obtain a new drive and one drive at a time create a new pool and copy the data from the WHS11 drive to the new SMB drive?

Cheers

Truenas only officially supports ZFS as a filesystem. You have to backup the data, create a pool and SMB share on Truenas with the old drives and then transfer the data back via the network.

Thanks, I thought that was the case, was just hoping there may have been a quicker solution being 20TB of data

Yeah, the importing feature of single ntfs or ext4 discs was removed a while ago since it was buggy.
