I’m so done with fighting ACL’s. How do I remove it totally from my TrueNAS.
“An ACL is detected on the selected path but Enable ACL is not selected for this share. ACL’s must be stripped from the dataset prior to creating an SMB Share.”
How to do you strip it from the dataset? I’ve looked everywhere.
You can turn off ACLs at the dataset level if you wish. You will still have to deal with permissions because they’re a feature of all modern filesystems.
I’m making the assumption that it is your first time setting up ACLs, otherwise feel free to ignore.
*This won’t get rid of this, it’ll just show how to set up permissions. Realistically, you’re going to have to figure it out.
