25.04.2 Success/Issues thread

Updated a fairly new built Truenas 25.04.1 to Truenas 25.04.2 and everything went perfectly smooth.

Heavy user of SMB shares and docker containers. No VMs yet.

So you have to do the update again? I thought I had all my EEL VMs “display” set with a password but I missed one. When I booted to Fangtooth I got bit by the “No VMs for you” bug. So I fixed it by going back to EEL and fixing the “display” and booted back in to the Fangtooth environment but still NO VMs. I will try to delete the FT boot and re-upgrade to se if that fixes it.

Yes, you need to delete the Fangtooth boot snapshot and upgrade again. I just did this successfully: rolled back to 24.10.2.3, added a password to the display device of all my VMs and checked that the VNC port used was valid (>5900), then upgraded again to 25.04.2. Now all VMs are showing up and running correctly.
