I believe nginx is one of the rare apps that wants to run as root, not as the apps user. So try switching it from user 568 to either 0 or 1000 (can’t remember which uid relates to root in truenas)

Thank you! Made the change to 0, but it didn’t change anything unfortunately, except that now, it deploys much more quickly. I still get the warning: useradd warning: npm's uid 0 outside of the UID_MIN 1000 and UID_MAX 60000 range.

Thanks for clarifying. Yes I checked the doc and couldn’t find my issue. I also posted on their subreddit to try and get support from the nginx community as well. That’s why I came here though : I hope that someone with more experience on Nginx proxy manager on truenas knows about this issue.

If uid 0 doesn’t work try with 1000, as the error indicates it seems to expect a uid between 1000 and 60000

I’ll try, but UID 1000 doesn’t exist on my nas. I created a user with full admin privileges in the UID range, but it takes a long time to deploy the app without root.
