Should I remove my cron-job for Multi-Report and remove the scripts before upgrading TrueNAS Core 13.0-U6.8 to Scale 24?

These errors are typically related to the data cable connectivity as a problem, however these could have occured at anytime within the life of the drive. These errors will never clear.

With that said, Multi-Report will compensate for these errors and alert you if they are growing. You need to run the Automatic Drive Compensation and any drives that have these and similar errors, like a few sector errors, will be offset. You will see it in the report, but the Subject will return to All is Good, they way it should always be. Never get use to a failure message, it could cover up something severe. Clear the error message and if you are unsure how to do that, just let me know, or post in the Multi-Repot Thread. If I don’t answer, someone will.

Yes and No.
Multi-Report as a whole does, but it uses the script called Drive-Selftest. I separated them for easy of programming. And in the multi_report_config.txt at the bottom, you can edit this file and make adjustments to when you want drives tested, short or long drives, do you want a Short drive test if there is a SCRUB going on, all sorts of things. The script defaults are basically all drives will have a Short Test Daily, unless a Long Test is scheduled by the script, and the default Long tests are to test each drive in your system once a week. The script is designed to run once a day, however if you have you r system powered down for a day or three, whatever drives were scheduled for a Long Test that were missed, those will be automatically added. This is needed for anyone who sets up Monthly Long Tests.

If you have huge capacity drives, such as 18TB or larger, I would recommend a Monthly Long Test due the the amount of time it takes to complete a Long Test.

If you have any concerns about how to set something like this up, reach out to me. It would be easier if you send me a dump, which is using the CLI and running ./multi_report.sh -dump email and include a quick message what you are looking for. I will make the changes and explain to you what I did so you can make changes in the future.
