Retired engineer/patent attorney. Learned to program using punchcards in the '70’s, but not an IT professional (Nuc. E. degree). I’ve built all my PC’s from parts since the early '90’s. Started dabbling (and became hooked on) Apple products with a 2001 laptop. Now my daily driver is a '21 M1 MacBook Pro. I found enough time a few years ago to cobble together a Dell R710 and start working with FreeNAS to build a successfully-running home server. Having retired, I now have enough time to get to know TrueNas Core better.
