Having operated Synology NAS for more than fifteen years and made first steps with OpenMediaVault, I have now opened a new chapter by setting up my first NAS with TrueNAS SCALE (Nov. 2024).
The main use case is the storage and distribution of media data (photos, movies) in the home network, but I am not limited to this if I need more features in the future that might be available with SCALE.
