Long time techie, as in part of my first job involved debugging KA-10 modules to the transistor level and repairing them (the modules not the transistors!). Some of you may recognize that makes me older than dirt. Spent the next 50 years or so in both hardware and software development and QA. Have, or at one time had. a working familiarity with about 6 different OSs, and about the same number of programming languages. Also did quite a lot of windsurfing. Now focused on my Proxmox-OPNsense-Omada-TrueNAS-Home Assistant-Linux-Windows home lab with seasonal breaks for gardening and biking. Pretty much a NAS noob though, having done a rush purchase of two Minx-X+ boxes just a couple of months ago to beat the Trump tariffs. I have questions.
