Hi all,
I just upgraded my TrueNAS Scale to 24.04.2.2 and was working with the Jailmaker to setup apps in docker containers.
I had Tailscale setup directly through TrueNAS apps and that worked perfectly fine accessing NAS files and other TrueNAS based apps, but it cannot access apps setup in the Jail, despite them being under the same subnet.
For example, I used to have Jellyfin on 192.168.86.216:8096, which I can access through Tailscale just fine, but if the Jellyfin is on 192.168.86.28:8096, which is inside the Jail, I could not access it.
So I tried to setup Tailscale as a docker app inside Jailmaker, but the reverse issue happens, where I can use docker apps, but cannot access NAS files(SMB).
I tried to keep both Tailscale running, but the first instance got booted will have priority (ie if I start the TrueNAS app version first, I can only access SMB, vice versa)
Am I missing something here? Is there anyway to access both?
This is exactly what I was looking for and I do NOT know how I missed this since I was following your jailmaker and the migration video. Kudos to you Capt Stux Thanks for what you are doing for the community
