Adding content outside of TrueNas server

Hey all,

I would like to tell TrueNas (which is on a minipc) to read media from my Synology NAS (which is on the same network).

Can someone please tell me how can I do that?

TrueNAS doesn’t support this. It’s a file server, not a client.

So I can only use data from drives connected directly to that TrueNAS server, right?

Could you not mount a network share inside a sandbox ?

Some Apps on SCALE allow you to specify a SMB mount, such as Syncthing. This is so you can access the data on the remote system, usually for migration purposes.
