I have a VM that is currently set up with a Zvol (disk) that is located in a Dataset called Media which in turn sits in my Vol1 Pool, so /vol1/Media. Recently, I have needed to reorganise my data locations, and this particular Zvol I wanted to move outside of Media, and place into a new Dataset called Virtualisation (/vol1/Virtualisation). I’ve carried out the clone of the Zvol, all appears well and so this now sits in the new /vol1/Virtualisation dataset.
However when I try to modify the disk in the VM, the only locations for disks given are in /vol1/Media. No disks in /vol1/Virtualisation. I’ve tried instead to add a new disk and see if the location options increase. No luck - I just get the same /vol1/Media disks. Has anyone any idea what could be causing this?
