Another failed HDD for cctv

I have been using a WD Purple 2Tb disk for cctv recordings etc . This is the 2nd one in just over 4 years. Now this one has just failed and is not quite 2 years old.
It has failed the last 21 SMART tests, and I am not getting any more cctv recordings on it for the last 2 days.

Can anyone recommend a good reliable disk for cctv recordings.
Thanks

I’m using the Seagate Skyhawk 6tb in my Reolink NVR. Only been running with it for 14 months, so far so good…

Thanks, yes I just found out that I should be using a surveillance HD, Doh!
I didn’t know that before as I thought a WD Purple would do the job.
I have now ordered a 2TB WD surveillnce HD

Aren’t they purple for WD?

Yes it is a Purple HD, and the one I have ordered is also Purple

Update;
I have just pulled the failed Purple HD out, to replace it with a surveillance Purple HD, and it is also a surveillance HD.

Is there any way I can format the existing HD and re use it. I am using TrueNAS Scale ElectricEel-24.10.2.1
