Backing up TN Scale to WD MyCloud Home NAS

My goal is to find the right setup so I can backup TN Scale tank to my NAs which is a WD MyCloud Home.

My setup is very simple. I am running TN Scale electric eel and the motherboard has a PCI Intel 10GB Double Nic of which I use only one RJ45 port. This port goes to a switch where the router and all other computers are connected.

My question is how to configure TN Scale backup so it will connect to WD MyCloud Home and run regular backup tasks.

So far I tried:

1_ to connect WD MyCloud Home to the switch and configure the TN Scale Rsynch Tasks (Module) where I entered the ip, user name and pass of the WD MyCloud Home. No connection…

2_ to connect WD MyCloud Home to the second port of PCI Intel 10GB Double Nic, thinking that this would be a more straight forward method. No connection…

Is there any way I can setup a TN SCale backup task to my WD MyCloud Home?
Any ideas are more than welcome
Thank you!

I do a similar thing with my TrueNAS Scale server to a QNAP device running rsyncd

WD MyCloud devices appear to have rysncd, so give it a go. It’s not a simple task to set up, though, and will need some command line work.

This helped me set up my TNS->QNAP jobs:

…and this, while with a Synology in mind rather than TNS, should be helpful for the WD MyCloud part:

Thank you very much for your response. I ended up abandoning the WD MyCloud Home and setting up another TN, on an older Pc, solely for backing up purposes. Also I found out that WD no longer supports WD MyCloud Home devices. Thank you once again!
