Basic question about Nextcloud access

I’m a brand new user using TrueNAS Scale and have managed to set up an old PC to act as a media server for me. So far so good.

I installed Nextcloud using the written instructions from TrueNas themselves. During which I had to set an admin username and password. which I did.

These don’t work, and after much searching I found in the expandable section you get when clicking on Nextcloud on the Apps tab than NC had set its own admin username and password during installation and that they are available in a config.php file inside the docker.

How do I get to this please? At the moment I can’t even log in to NC, let alone use it to share files. Do I have to use Shell from the NAS itself?

Told you it was basic!

Hi Nico,

To be honest - I never faced this problem… what is exact installation location of your NC?

I don’t know how to give you a better answer than just saying I used the Apps section to do it. Here is the setting where I set up the username and password which don’t work and the datasets I created when I followed the howto.
