How can i make or is it even possible to make a few local domains for my apps in TrueNAS, to open theirs easily, something like “plex.local” or “qbit.local”, instead of typing ip:port every time?
Im not sure if it still works, but years ago you could do this with the windows HOST file.
I don’t want to dismiss the possibility of a solution inside true as itself, how I handle it:
- Pihole for local DNS entries
- A reverse proxy like traefik to handle the same ports being used on the same IP (VM)
- Purchased a domain and added wildcard certificates to my local services
