I’m new to this linux nas world (trying to migrate off a super basic QNAP) so please assume I don’t already know how to do the thing you suggest I do.
I have Plex up and running (standard Scale App) and was able to get (most of) my library set up.
After I got that set up, I gave my server a Fixed IP address (so I don’t have to check which IP it’s on to get to the GUI). After I did that, none of my Plex players are able to see my content (or that my server is online).
I can still access everything by going directly to the Plex IP address, just can’t get it through any of the Plex Player apps. Same browser, app.plex.tv doesn’t see my server, but direct to the server IP works just fine.
I’ve changed my DNS provider on the server and on all my network equipment to 8.8.8.8 as it was suggested as a way to resolve if this was a DNS rebinding issue, but no luck there.
