Cannot see my backup images on my truenas share

Hi everyone,

I am really stumped as to how this can be happening. Basically I have Macrium reflect make daily incremental backup image of my boot drive. My C drive is acting a bit funny so I thought to check the share folder on my truenas where the backups go to. When I use windows file explorer to see the folder with the images its empty. Ok thats strange, specially since when I go to the storage section on Truenas web interface I see that the dataset that is holding my backups is like 95 percent full. The only other folder I have on the dataset other then my backups is my music folder. Inside the music folder I can see all my music albums. I also went to the web shell and cd my way to the backup folder and when I type ls nothing shows up. When I type in ls -l it shows 0 files. I also backup the dataset to another dataset and when I go to the backup of the backup the inside of that folder is also empty, but the space is pretty much full in that dataset too. I tried to attach some screenshots, but a pop tells I am not allowed to embed media in a post. I thought it is probably permission issues, but I have not touched the permissions for a long time.

Hi and welcome to the forums.

I’ve just increased your trust level so you should be able to share some of those screenshots you mentioned.

I think showing us the output of zfs list would also be helpful.

Thanks, please see the screen shots below.

Also the results of zfs list. Didnt know I had to sudo in order to run the command.

I did some more googling and went through the forum and reddit, but cannot seem to find any issue related to mine. Other people either deleted files by mistake or messed up the ACL, and also some had recycle bin enabled on their shares which I don’t. I think Ill just format everything in a few days and start again. Hopefully wont run into this issue again.
