Can't create dataset with previous name - says already exists

This is frustrating.

I deleted a dataset via GUI. The dataset is gone - not listed in GUI. I try to create a dataset with the same name, and get the error that it already exists.

Did you reboot?
I would try that if you didn’t already.

Was a residual folder left over?

You can check with ls -1 /mnt/<nameofpool>
